COMPACT Inc. provides work placement, career development services for people in the Riverina Murray. COMPACT Inc. are continually investigating funding sources to diversify our program offering, and aim to develop and deliver service packages across all skills areas and industries.

HSC VET Work Placement provides our young people with the opportunity to experience a ‘taste’ of the industry of their choice. For young people, Work Placement is the first time in a workplace and can be the most valuable means of building Employability Skills, understanding career pathways and influencing career decisions prior to starting further education and work.

Work Placement students are in Year 11 and 12, are studying a Cert I or II in their chosen industry and come with genuine enthusiasm and basic skills. Work Placement students are also interested and willing to learn about the world of work and what it takes to enter the workforce. Some students are actively looking for apprenticeships and traineeships and use their Work Placement to realise their employment goals.

COMPACT’s professional staff are connected to over 4000 employers across the Riverina Murray region, and facilitate Work Placements on behalf of schools and EVET providers in specific industries.

COMPACT Inc staff are qualified and experienced to provide career planning support and information services to people of all ages and stages of the career journey. We work closely with students to identify their skills and experience, personal interests and key attributes to assist them in the identification and planning of achievable career goals, on an individual basis or in a group setting.

Providing and developing unique wellbeing programs to empower, inspire, and build the resilience of young people. We deliver innovative, flexible services and programs that help young people to overcome barriers and challenges that they will face in their everyday lives as well as the scooling environment. With well-developed links with local business, government and community organisations, we provide growth opportunities for students. We provide age appropriate, interactive, fun programs that build confidence, self-awareness and resilience to assist young people to achieve their full social and economic potential.

Every student has individual needs and not everyone learns in the same way. Many students have barriers to education and employment that include: learning issues, language, cultural or family social issues, financial barriers, homelessness, ill mental health or other disability which can lead to:
