Overview

Ag Inspiration is an initative aimed at promoting careers in agriculture and was establised by the Riverina Agriculture Education Alliance. The Alliance is made up of organisations such as TAFE NSW Riverina Instutite Primary Industries Centre, Local Land Services, Australian Wool Industry, TEYS, Dairy Australia and Grain Corp.

Launched by Michael McCormack MP, Federal Member for Riverina, Ag Inspirations ran for four days and began with an industry overview day at the TAFE Primary Industries Centre and followed by five different industry site tours. The Ag Inspirations concluded with the Science and Agriculture Enrichment Day at Charles Sturt University.

During the Industry Overview Day, the students from across the Central Murrumbidgee had the opportunity to meet industry experts from different sectors, young professionals in Ag who discussed their career journeys and heard presentations from key industry spokespeople about the challenges and opportunities of working within specific fields.

The tours included Dairy, Livestock (Beef), Biosecurity and Animal Welfare, Sheep and Wool & Grain.
