The Department of Human Services (DHS) has two Mobile Service Centres that travel to rural and regional locations. Mobile Services Centres are a fully equipped office at which residents can conduct their DHS business (Centrelink, Medicare, Child Support). A unique feature is the Australian Hearing touch screen and sound proof both that enables residents to perform their own hearing screening. In a number of locations an Australian Hearing staff member also joins the Mobile Service Centre to offer a more comprehensive service.
In 2013 the DHS Mobile Service visitited some of the schools within the COMPACT Central Murrumbidgee region including: The Rock, Cootamundra, Coolamon, Batlow, Gundagai and Tumbarumba.
